ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Maryland restaurants can resume normal operations this weekend.
Gov. Larry Hogan announced Wednesday that all remaining capacity and distancing restrictions will be lifted on indoor and outdoor dining. The lifting of restrictions brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic will be effective Saturday. The governor also says indoor and outdoor venues may resume normal operations, as remaining capacity restrictions will be lifted on indoor entertainment venues and conventions with masking protocols in place.
Hogan says the state’s indoor mask mandate will be lifted when 70% of Maryland adults receive at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. As of Tuesday, the governor’s office says 65% of Maryland adults had been vaccinated.
