ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Maryland Gov. Wes Moore has recused himself from a vote on a powerful state panel as he works on setting up a blind trust.

Before recusing himself from a vote at Wednesday’s Board of Public Works meeting, he said he’s finalizing blind trust arrangements for his assets “to prevent any financial conflicts.” Moore turned the meeting over to Lt. Gov. Aruna Miller when an extension for a warehouse lease agreement for Under Armour Inc. came before the panel. Moore served on Under Armour’s board of directors, starting in October 2020.

Moore stepped down from the position soon after he won the election in November.
